FinnSana terms of use
Last updated: 7 October 2026. The same terms are in the app under Me → Terms of use.
Who offers FinnSana
FinnSana is made by Kuvadoo, a sole trader business in Finland. Email: kuvadoo@gmail.com.
By using FinnSana you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.
Using the app
FinnSana is for learning Finnish. You may use it for your own learning, as often as you like, on your own devices.
The lessons, exercises, pictures and recordings were made for FinnSana. Please do not copy, sell or publish them elsewhere. Content we use from others (see “Content from others”) you may reuse under its own licence.
Do not try to break, overload or misuse the app or its backup service, for example by creating accounts with a script.
Your account
An account is optional. Without one, your progress stays on your phone. With one (Google or email), your progress and the words you add yourself are backed up so you can get them back. The privacy policy explains what is stored and where.
Keep your password to yourself. You can delete your account at any time in Me → your profile → Delete account. We may close an account that is used to misuse the service.
The words and notes you add yourself stay yours. We store them only to back them up for you.
Computer-made content
All voices in FinnSana are computer-generated (Microsoft Azure AI Speech). The word pictures were made with AI image tools.
We work hard to keep the Finnish correct, but mistakes can still happen. If you find one, please tell us at kuvadoo@gmail.com and we will fix it.
Content from others
Many example sentences come from Tatoeba (tatoeba.org) under the CC BY 2.0 FR licence; some were edited. Word forms are based on Wiktionary (via kaikki.org) under CC BY-SA 4.0. The fonts (Bricolage Grotesque, Figtree) are under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 and the icons (Ionicons) under the MIT licence. The full list, with the open-source licences of the software FinnSana is built with, is in the app: Me → Credits & open-source licences.
No promise of results
FinnSana helps you learn, but we cannot promise that you reach a certain level or pass a language test or exam. FinnSana is an independent app and is not connected to any official test or authority.
Changes and availability
FinnSana is free. We improve it over time, and features may change. We try to keep the app and the backup working, but we cannot promise that they are always available or free of errors.
If these terms change, the new version is shown in the app and on this page with a new date.
Law and your rights
These terms are under Finnish law. Nothing in them limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
If something goes wrong, please contact us first at kuvadoo@gmail.com. Consumers in Finland can also turn to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi).
